Thanks to all helpers at the Tree Party event

Sir.–I would like to say how wonderful it was to see Basingstoke MP Maria Miller take time out to show her support to the tree party event. She got involved with planting some trees and engaged with everyone, which makes the volunteers feel appreciated. Also, thanks to borough environment Cabinet Councillor Robert Donnell.–Mr J Weston Winterthur Way, Basingstoke.

Sir.–A huge thank you to everyone who came and helped out at the recent Tree Party event. With your help we were able to complete the wildlife corridor on Basingstoke Common, planting a mix of native species that now stretch from Crabtree Plantation to the fenland of Old Basing. It couldn’t have been done without your enthusiasm and hard work.

Thank you also to Tesco’s for the cake that they provided and to whoever brought the sun along with them on both days!
