Ensemble to sing at club finale


Basingstoke Concert Club’s final event of the season will feature a highly talented vocal ensemble.

The eight voices of the Armonico Consort will be singing a range of beautiful pieces on March 21, at Trinity Methodist Church, in Sarum Hill, Basingstoke.

The ensemble stage a wide range of programmes. These performances are often accompanied by the Orchestra of the Baroque, featuring some of the country’s finest period instrumentalists.

The ensemble will be singing pieces including Silver Swan by Gibbons, Lay A Garland by Pearsall, and Now Is The Month by Morley, and several folk songs.
