Return for slick-styled Beyond the Barricade

9:20am Friday 30th January 2009

BEYOND The Barricade returns to The Anvil on February 5 with a show for lovers of musical theatre.

Performed by a cast of principal performers from Les Misérables, the evening features songs from popular musicals including Miss Saigon, The Lion King, Tell Me On A Sunday, Phantom Of The Opera, We Will Rock You, Chicago, Blood Brothers with a grand finale from Les Misérables.

The show began in 1995 as a charity fundraising concert for Mencap, and the original show was organised by Andy Reiss and David Fawcett.

It was such a success that a series of Mencap fundraisers followed, and soon the show took on a life of it’s own with the launch of a major UK tour and building a reputation for its slick style.

Reiss and Fawcett continue to tour with the show and celebrated their first year on the circuit with a gala performance at the Royal Albert Hall.

The show starts at 7.45pm and tickets, priced at £17.50 and £19.50, can be bought from the Anvil Arts box office, on 01256 844844, or online, at www. anvilarts.org.uk.
