COMEDY Life X 3 is coming to Newbury’s The Watermill Theatre for a month, with the opening night on Thursday.
The play, written by successful playwright Yasmina Reza – author of the internationally acclaimed ART – is about Henri and Sonia and one evening when the boss and his wife arrive for dinner a day early.
It takes a sharp look at personal relationships and at the dysfunctional and funny sides of life.
The production is designed by Francis O’Connor, and directed by Sarah Esdaile, whose credits include Drowning on Dry Land, at Salisbury Playhouse, Kafka’s Dick, at Watford Palace, and The Grouch, at West Yorkshire Playhouse.
Among the cast is Sarah Ball, recently nominated for the TMA Best Actress in a Supporting Role for her performance in Shared Experience Theatre’s After Mrs Rochester and Sara Crowe, who will always be known as the woman in the Philadelphia advert.
Christopher Villiers, who appeared in several shows at The Watermill in the late 1980s and early 1990s and appeared in Emmerdale for three years, is also returning, and James Wallace’s credits include Wives As They Were and Maids As They Were, at Theatre Royal at Bury St Edmunds.
Tickets, priced between £12.50 and £22, can be booked at the box office, on 01635 46044, or online, at www. watermill.org.uk.
