MORE than 300 local performers will take to the stage of The Anvil on Saturday for this year’s Basingstoke Variety Show.

This annual production raises much-needed funds for the Mayor’s charity appeal by showcasing a range of talent from across the borough.

This year’s show will include performances by Lisa Beaumont School of Ballet, Footsteps, Basingstoke Gang Show, Basingstoke Amateur Operatic Society’s youth wing Limelight, Robyn Andrews and Zack Stephens.

There will also be performances by acts who were picked at an open audition day earlier this year, including Jade Hollingshead, Jack Trinder and B-Yellow.

They will also be joined by pupils from Park View Junior School, Kempshott Infant School and Merton Infant School.

The Mayor of Basingstoke and Deane, Councillor Anne Court, said: “Basingstoke Variety Show is a fantastic event run by the community for the community.

“I hope that people will get tickets and come along to support to not only everyone taking part but also my chosen charities Inspero, Basingstoke Multicultural Forum and Ark Cancer Centre Charity.”

The show takes over The Anvil from 7.30pm on Saturday, October 3.
