A LOCAL dance school is to celebrate a milestone anniversary with a charitable performance.

Chandelle Stage School, which is run by Sharon Roberts and is based in the Sycamore Centre in Winklebury, will mark 25 years with a silver anniversary show.

25 Years of Twinkling Stars will include performances of popular songs from hit musicals such as Sister Act, The Lion King, Copacabana, 42nd Street, Cabaret, The Jungle Book and Frozen.

The show will take place in The Haymarket, Wote Street, on Saturday, April 18 at 6pm.

Inspired by two of the school’s pupils, all proceeds raised will be donated to G floor at Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital.

Chandelle senior class pupil Olivia Simmonds suffers from cystic fibrosis, whilst five-year old Amelia Walter in the baby class is, after two years of treatment, in remission from an aggressive infantile leukaemia.

Join Sharon, and past and present Chandelle pupils, for this celebration of the school, which will conclude with the traditional closing number At the End of the Day.

Tickets for the show, priced £14.50, concessions £9.50, are available from the box office on 01256 844244 or online at anvilarts.org.uk.
