THE next Performance Lab takes place at Proteus Creation Space tomorrow.

The Performance Lab series presents a unique opportunity to see shows during their development, made by some of the most exciting, experimental theatre makers in the country.

You will get to meet the artists and help them create their best work.

Performances will last between 20 and 50 minutes, and will be followed by a Q&A session with the creatives.

In the Council Road building tomorrow from 7.30pm, you can see the writing and performing partnership of Sophie Trott and Cara Harvey.

The pair have been making live and filmed sketches since 2012, and recently filmed a half hour sitcom pilot, The Littlest Boho, for NerdTV.

This performance is the first stage in developing a live show for the Edinburgh festival and beyond. They don't know what it will be about, and there will be a fair amount of improv.

It may involve some dressage and horse stories. There might be a murder. Come and find out!

Sophie, who trained at Ecole Philippe Gaulier, has worked as an actor since 1999 in theatre, TV and film. She worked at Proteus in Below Zero and has also toured her own show, Slug!, a piece combining tango, aerial and a slug love affair.

Cara has worked as a writer, director and performer in her own shows The Secret Gardners, and the Millie and Tillie shows. She's directed and appeared in sketches on Horrible Histories, as well as various independent shorts.

Tickets cost £3.
