LOCAL independent youth theatre group In Yer Face Productions is to stage a festival of one act plays in Basingstoke.

The company, which is based in Tadley, was founded by Matthew Driscoll.

His students, who range in age from seven to 18, will perform in Central Studio, QMC, on Saturday, March 7 and Sunday, March 8 at 7pm each evening.

On Saturday, see Scary Play, The Wardrobe and As We Forgive Those.

Basingstoke Gazette:

Remote, the performance on Sunday, is part of the National Theatre Connections project. The cast will tour their production to Salisbury Playhouse in April and could be chosen to perform it at London’s National Theatre in July.

The students of In Yer Face recently achieved great success in LAMDA examinations.

The 56 students achieved 43 distinctions (13 students gained 90 marks or above) and a 100% pass rate.

In addition, pupils of In Yer Face achieved multiple first, second and third positions, and were awarded three trophies, at a recent Basingstoke speech and drama festival.
