GARY Lucy is to lead the cast of The Full Monty at The Mayflower this autumn.

In 1997, a British film about six out-of-work Sheffield steelworkers with nothing to lose, took the world by storm becoming one of the most successful British films ever made.

Now, the boys are back, only this time, they really have to go The Full Monty…live on stage.

The cast of this production, which will run in Southampton from November 2-7, also includes Andrew Dunn, Louis Emerick, Rupert Hill, Martin Miller and Bobby Schofield.

The production also features the iconic songs from the film by Donna Summer, Hot Chocolate and Tom Jones.

Gary, who won ITV1’s Dancing on Ice, is known for his performances in EastEnders, Footballer’s Wives, Hollyoaks and The Bill.

This new production is directed by former actor Jack Ryder, who played Jamie Mitchell in EastEnders for four years.

His directing credits include national tours of Calendar Girls and the short film Act of Memory with Claire Skinner, Owen Teale and Anna Massey which was officially selected for nine international festivals around the world including the Cannes Film Festival.
