"ONE of my fondest memories of Bats Next Gen is Elain (co-director of Fawkes) grabbing little shy me by the hand and introducing me to the group of boys auditioning for Our House, my first show with Bats Next Gen.

Since then I haven't looked back. I have been in Our House, Rent and now Fawkes The Quiet Guy, in which I am playing the Groom.

I am so pleased to be in this uniquely brilliant play full of laughs and to have such a great character.

Bats Next Gen has given me a confidence I never though I'd get and has allowed me to make so many friends, including the wonderful cast this year.

For all my previous shows I have worked with cast members a similar age to me or older and so to be the oldest member of the cast this year is exciting but has also presented challenges in the way the group works together.

I think we have all worked really well to produce what I think you will agree is an explosive rendition of the story we all know so well."

Fawkes the Quiet Guy tells the story of the famous gunpowder plot we associate with November 5.

It was written by Kjartan Poskitt and produced in association with Samuel French Limited. It will be performed in Central Studio, Basingstoke on November 7 and 8, 2014 at 7.30pm.

Matinee performance at 2.30pm on Saturday, November 8.

Tickets are available from the box office 01256 418318 or online at centralstudio.co.uk/theatre.
