TELL Tale Hearts theatre company will celebrate food – as seen through children’s eyes – at Central Studio this month.
Yummm! uses dance, live music, quirky design and some amusing eating utensils in a highly imaginative production where tables can dance, plates spin and the audience have a chance to join in with the dinner time rituals.
This is a fantastic introduction to dance and theatre for young children and their families and the company’s first collaboration with international dance artist and choreographer, Pauline Mayers and international composer Matt Marks.
This piece explores different taste sensations through dance and physical theatre, the rhythms and musicality in onomatopoeia and the funny eating habits of young children.
See Yummm! in Central Studio, the theatre on the QMC campus, on Saturday, June 14 at 11am. The performance will be followed by a short play activity where children will get their own utensils to play with.
Tickets priced £6, £5 for children, are available from the box office on 01256 418318 or online at centralstudio.co.uk.
