SECOND year extended diploma performing arts students at Queen Mary's College present for their final major project, two contrasting plays, in Central Studio this week.
Tuesday, May 20: Alice. 7pm.
In Alice, The White Rabbit is late for the Duchess, The Cheshire Cat won't stop grinning, and the Hatter is, well mad.
In an update of the classical Lewis Caroll's tale, Alice breathes fresh life into a much-loved story about rabbit holes, pocket watches and talking caterpillars.
Suitable for all the family.
Thursday, May 22: John Godber's Sold. 7pm.
In a marked contrast to Alice, this hard hitting play serves as a stark reminder that slavery remains a critical issue in twenty-first century Britain.
Ray and Jack try to squeeze a story out of a depressing trend in trafficking East European women to the UK. Not suitable for a young audience.
Tickets for each performance are priced £5.10 for adults, £4.10 concesions, £3.10 students and children.
Box office: 01256 418318.
