THEATRE Royal Winchester is on the look-out for talented young people to perform in its 2014 pantomime.

This year’s show is Sleeping Beauty and there are opportunities for girls aged between eight and 18 to audition for one of the three child cast teams.

Application forms can be completed online via the theatre’s website theatreroyalwinchester.co.uk by clicking on ‘Get Involved’ and are also available from the Box Office.

The closing date for applications is May 26 and forms are to be completed and returned to Ed Simpson at the theatre.

Ed said: "We are looking for talented and enthusiastic young people with a professional and mature attitude.  We need three teams of twelve girls with the ability to play a character, take direction and have the confidence to perform to an audience.

"The pantomime’s choreographer, Hannah Jackson, is looking for competent dancers with personality, confidence and technical aptitude."

Applicants are not required to prepare for the auditions, which will take place on Sunday, June 8 at Theatre Royal Winchester from 10am to 7pm.

All applicants under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of their audition.

The pantomime will run from Tuesday, December 9 to Sunday, January 4.
