HARTLEY Arts Group (HAG) have been put their military paces in preparation for their new production.

Retired Colonel Anthony Gall taught the cast of Joan Littlewood's Oh What a Lovely War how to stand to attention (chin up, eyes up, chest out), about turn and even to ‘wheel’.

HAG have selected this piece to commemorate WW1. Their production is an ambitious one and will include video production, special effects and a live six-piece band.

Most of Oh What A Lovely War’s songs are well known and easy to sing for the cast and audience too.

The show will run in The Victoria Hall in Hartley Wintney on May 22-24 and 29-31.

Rehearsals continue twice a week with singing, dancing and blocking.

Opening nights seats cost £10 and all other performances are £13. Special group discounts are available for local school children by emailing hartleyartsgroup@ gmail.com.
