TICKETS have gone on sale for a new-look music festival ready to thrill Basingstoke this summer.

Tickets for B LOVE, to be held with more 70 live acts at War Memorial Park on Saturday, 7 and Sunday, 8 July, went on sale today.

It will be the first year entry has to be paid to access the festival, previously known as Basingstoke Live.

Day tickets for adults are priced £10 for a day or £15 for the weekend while teenagers can gain entry for £2 for a day ticket and £3 for a weekend, plus booking fees.

Children under the age of 12 go free when with a paying adult.

DJ and record producer Wilkinson, known for his top five hit Afterglow, performing a DJ set on the Saturday and 1990s indie legends Reef on the Sunday had already been confirmed as the two headliners for the event.

Now, organisers have confirmed the full line-up for the festival, which is supported by Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council and programmed by the B LOVE Forum.

Acts on the Saturday include Berna, Matt Wills and Lyrical D on the Main Stage; Growla and The Wholls on the Electric Soup stage; Sonic Boom Six and Dream State on the Amped Stage; YGG and Jammz at the Verbal Remedies Stage and Skibadee and Logan D on the Love Bass Stage.

Highlights on the Sunday include The Treatment and Sugarman Sam and the Voodoomen on the Main Stage; Natasha Watts and DREADZY at Electric Soup; Hacktivist and Absentees at Amped, New Town Kings and Solo Banton at the SunJam Stage.

There will also be free activities for children including storytelling, arts and crafts, face painting, music workshops and a percussion playground for youngsters to explore.

Under 10s will also be able to discover a magical forest filled with nature activities, musical instrument making and much more.

More family entertainment will come in the form of an innovative outdoor performance, called Ride, by Zoielogic Dance Theatre on Saturday and the Belly of the Whale aerial show from theatre company Ockham’s Razor on Sunday.

The borough council’s arts and events manager Ross Harvie said: “We’re excited to be able to show off the full line-up for B LOVE for the first time.

"Thanks to the hard work of the B LOVE Forum, Basingstoke-born performers will be sharing the same stage as chart-topping acts and hot new talent in their genre of music.

"This year’s festival is bolder and better than ever before offering a diverse mix of music, displays and family-friendly activities, there truly is something for everyone.

“With just 10 weeks to go, the countdown is on.”
