THE Band of The Hampshire Constabulary are to return to Basingstoke for their fourth appearance as part of the Lions Variety for Charity season.
The band, which is made up of some 35 accomplished musicians, performs mainly in the south of the county when not on tour abroad.
It will appear at Queen Mary’s Hall, QMC, on November 7 under the guidance of the director of music, Major Peter Curtis who is also the director of music for the Band of Her Majesty’s Royal Marines Collingwood.
The evening’s entertainment will include a wide range of popular pieces from light classics/ military to show and film scores.
All proceeds from The Lions Concert programmes go to local good causes as identified by the Lions Club in Basingstoke.
This is a unique opportunity to share an evening locally with this acclaimed ensemble.
