A FOLK rock concert is to take place in Central Studio.
Performing on the night of Saturday, September 5 are two bands, Kindred Spirit and Into Eden.
Kindred Spirit are a five-piece progressive folk rock band.
Founded by singer and songwriter Elaine Samuels in the mid-‘90s, its line-up also includes Gavin Jones, Catherine Dimmock, Mike Hislop and, on drums, either Les Binks (ex drummer with Judas Priest and Roger Glover) or Chris Goode.
Kindred Spirit play a number of Elaine's powerful original songs alongside their own takes on classics from bands like Pink Floyd and Fleetwood Mac.
They are known particularly for their vocal harmonies, foot-stomping jigs and reels, and musical duels between the two lead players.
The group released their new album Phoenix Rising in spring and have been supporting its launch with special concerts.
Joining Kindred Spirit in Central Studio, QMC, are an exciting new local band called Into Eden.
This will be the first concert for Into Eden, whose members are QMC students.
Doors open at 7.15pm.
Tickets are priced £12, concessions £10, students £10.
