ROCKBITCH Promotions present another promising line-up in Sanctuary tomorrow, Sunday, June 7.
BLACK RAINBOWS
The Italian psych-fuzz trio Black Rainbows sound like the offspring of ’70s hard-rock swagger and ’90s stoner-groove; hints of Black Sabbath, MC5 and Led Zeppelin fuse with liberal pinches of Nebula and Fu Manchu.
Since 2007 the band have released three full-length albums, coupled with split releases with bands such as White Hills, Naam and Farflung, and finally the recently highly acclaimed Holy Moon Ep. They have also been regulars on stages across the world having now performed over 300 gigs.
OLD MAN LIZARD
This power trio are in the same vein as Cream or Blue Cheer, but the influences of contemporary bands from Taint to Yawning Man set Old Man Lizard apart from the often crowded and unvaried sludge and stoner scenes.
Not content to retread the same old tired ground, Old Man Lizard make exciting and original heavy music without compromising the art of the riff.
MOTHER CORONA
If Hawkwind and Black Sabbath got messed up together in a studio, they might have sounded much like this trippy goodness.
SLUG13
Think Tad meets Sabbath meets Helmet meets Monster Magnet meets The Jesus Lizard in a molten mixture of pure rock fury. Play loud!
More TBC.
£5 entry OTD.
Doors 7pm.
