NINETIES boyband Boyzone are set to perform at a family festival of cricket and music.

The band will headline the stage at The Ageas Family Festival on August 1, following the Royal London One-Day Cup – Hampshire versus Middlesex.

The unique event, which is now in its fourth year, is suitable for all ages and promises to be bigger and better than before.

A host of family-friendly activities will be installed onsite to keep visitors entertained, including bouncy castles, climbing walls, laser quest and a fun fair.

Alongside the cricketing action and musical entertainment, the Ageas Bowl will also welcome the Red Devils (British Army) who will parachute into the ground during the innings interval.

Stuart Robertson, the Ageas Bowl commercial director, said: “We pride ourselves on innovation here at the Ageas Bowl and we are delighted to be partnering with music plus sport to again deliver a ground-breaking event for all the family.

“There can’t be many more family days out with so much included and we can’t wait to welcome everyone on August 1.”

Tickets go on general sale at 9am on Wednesday, priced £40 for adults and £10 for children under 18-years-old.

There will be a limited number of early bird adult tickets available at £30 and £35.
