BASINGSTOKE boy band Concept have announced plans to perform in the town at a one-off concert showcasing their new material.

The local lads, who got through to the judges’ houses stage of The X Factor last year, will entertain their fans at The Haymarket on April 8.

Concept have performed sell-out shows at the venue before, and expect tickets, which go on sale this Saturday, to be snapped up quickly.

Karim Newton, a member of the band, said: “This show will be a little bit different. We have a lot of new songs so we are giving Basingstoke a first listen to what we are going to be doing later this year.”

The band, made up of Karim, Scott Dicks, Nathen Gittens, Matt Goodenough and Ben Selley, who all went to Queen Mary’s College, have been busy working in the studio writing their own material, which will be performed at The Haymarket.

Karim added: “It’s an exclusive night in with Concept.”
