THE Book of Genesis, who faithfully recreate the musical brilliance of England's finest progressive rock band, Genesis, are to perform at Basingstoke's Central Studio later this month.

Their performance encompasses all the exciting hallmarks of the Gabriel years and some of the best songs from the Collins period including all the original masks and costumes Peter Gabriel used in the 1970s. Fantastic acting brings the songs alive.

The band covers a wide repertoire from the first album onwards, but focuses on the progressive rock era up until Steve Hackett left the band.

Hear them in Central Studio on Saturday, November 29 at 8pm.

Phildas Bhakta was a pioneer of Genesis tribute bands and set up one of the original tributes, Invisible Touch, before joining the group on drums in 2011.

The band decided to focus on the best of the Peter Gabriel period - that is the progressive rock era of Genesis - with their main focus being to develop an exciting live experience.

They have a customized light show and use large screens with video slides and a live cam, which is unique and echoes the incredible live shows of Genesis themselves.

The Book of Genesis will be at Central Studio on Saturday, November 29 at 8pm.

Tickets priced £14 are available from centralstudio.co.uk or by calling the box office on 01256 418318.
