FREEWAY Mad feature on a new download mini-album which has been released by PledgeMusic.

The album features all of the bands who were successful in this year’s Road to Blissfields competition. Reading band Freeway Mad - Tom Rampton, George Twydell, George 'Ivesy' Ives, and Craig Carlaw – will perform on Thursday, July 3 as part of the festival.

Around 1,000 acts applied to win a slot at the award-winning family-friendly festival for forward thinking music fans.

Just 36 were chosen to represent their town in heats in front of expert judges earlier this year, with the eventual winners performing at Blissfields.

Event founders Paul and Mel Bliss said: “We've been supporting new music via the Road To Blissfields competition for five years now, so it's wonderful to take that a step further and celebrate the winning acts even more.”

The festival’s line-up this year also includes 2manydjs, Sleigh Bells, Hercules & Love Affair, Tune-Yards, Dan Croll, Johnny Flynn, Spector, Bipolar Sunshine, Chloe Howl, Famy, Wolf Alice, Thumpers, Snakehips, Éclair Fifi, Monkey, Ry X, TCTS and many more.

The record will be on sale exclusively via PledgeMusic.
