AMERICAN performer Laura Stevenson is on the bill for a Rockbitch night of music this week.

Hear her, plus Kate Wintle, Jimmy Broomfield, The Toniks, MJ and Embargo, in Sanctuary on Saturday.

Laura Stevenson's musical journey can be traced back to playing keyboard for Long Island-based punks Bomb the Music Industry.

Sometime soon after in 2010, Stevenson got together a backing band - The Cans - and released two albums, A Record and Sit Resist.

Now returning to Europe solo in support of her 2013 album Wheel, it's difficult not to be drawn in by Laura's stripped-down indie-pop approach.
