GARDENER, writer, broadcaster and one-time chorister Alan Titchmarsh is to compere a forthcoming Hart Male Voice Choir event.
This Young Singers Gala Concert, which marks the culmination of the choir’s 2014 competition to promote talented young singers in Hampshire and Surrey, takes place at the Princes Hall in Aldershot on April 24.
Basingstoke Ladies' Choir will join Hart MVC for the event.
Mr Titchmarsh is President of Hart Male Voice Choir and he will also present certificates and cash prizes to each of the competition winners on the night.
The 2014 Hart MVC Young Singer Competition attracted more than 50 applicants from the Hampshire area. Auditions were held before a panel of professional judges.

*Hart Male Voice Choir will perform a joint concert with BHMVC, in All Saints Church, Basingstoke on Saturday, April 5, at 7.30pm.
