BASINGSTOKE’S Jack Tanner is bringing his band’s Led Zeppelin tribute performance back home this month.
Hats off to Led Zeppelin – Jack, Peter Eldridge, Simon Wicker and Kevin Oliver Jones - are the only tribute act in the UK officially endorsed by Marshall amplifiers and they are managed by none other than Warren Grant, whose father Peter was Led Zeppelin's manager.
Three years ago Hats Off to Led Zeppelin created a buzz unheard of for a tribute act and this year sees them playing more venues across the globe, releasing a DVD and picking up their first award. They are also to be the subject of a new documentary film.
See them in The Haymarket on Saturday, October 26 at 7.30pm. The concert is in aid of Naomi House children's hospice.
Jack was born in Basingstoke when The Shrubbery was a maternity home, and lived here until he was 23. After attending what was John Hunt of Everest school and QMC, he moved to London to study acting at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
He spent 15 years as an actor before joining Hats Off To Led Zeppelin, and moved back into the Basingstoke area in 2007.
Having appeared in such West End productions as We Will Rock You, Rent, Thriller LIVE!. Dancing in the Streets, Return to the Forbidden Planet and Buddy, to name but a few, this band are a truly professional outfit who are guaranteed to give you a night that you won't forget in a hurry.
