Get into the Christmas spirit with Basingstoke Male Voice Choir's festive concert Get into the Christmas spirit with Basingstoke Male Voice Choir's festive concert

JOIN Basingstoke Male Voice Choir for their very popular annual Christmas Concert.

The men will welcome their friends and supporters to this free event on Monday, December 12 at 7.30pm in United Reformed Church in London Street.

As in previous years the choir has chosen a charity to support with a retiring collection. This year BMVC has selected Sebastian’s Action Trust, which has recently built and opened a holiday and respite home in North Waltham called The Bluebells.

The centre is for children with their families who are fighting life limiting or life threatening illnesses. Nothing like this previously existed in the UK, making The Bluebells the first of its kind. Practical support in many different forms is offered to children, and to their families, who are exhausted by the stresses of hospital life and their child’s gruelling treatment.

The Trust was launched by nine year-old Sebastian Gates a month before he died as a result of a Wilms’ tumour, a rare form of childhood cancer, on Christmas Eve in 2003.

The programme of music for this concert will include many Christmas favourites and plenty of carols for audience participation.

Don’t miss this opportunity to get into the Christmas Spirit whilst helping a valuable cause at the same time.

More details can be found at sebastiansactiontrust.org.

Free tickets are now available from Tony Eaton on 01256 327033 but are limited, so please book early to avoid disappointment. The choir look forward to seeing everyone and to having the opportunity to wish you and your families a happy Christmas and a peaceful and healthy New Year in person.
