A TV soap star is joining the cast of Monty Python’s Spamalot at The Mayflower.
Hayley Tamaddon, pictured, who recently won ITV’s Dancing on Ice and played Delilah Dingle in Emmerdale, is taking the part of Lady of the Lake when the show comes to Southampton from July 26 to 31.
Other recognisable names are Radio 4 presenter and writer Marcus Brigstocke as King Arthur, and Todd Carty, who played Tucker in Grange Hill for five years as well as Mark Fowler in EastEnders.
The show is a stage adaptation of classic comedy film Monty Python and the Holy Grail, created by Eric Idle and John Du Prez, which picked up the Tony Award for Best Musical in 2005.
It tells the story of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table and features hilarious songs such as He Is Not Dead Yet, Knights of the Round Table, Find Your Grail and Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life.
Tickets for the show can be booked by calling 02380 711811, or online at mayflower.org.uk.
