A CIRCUS is coming to town next month – thanks to a helping hand from a leading Basingstoke sports club.
On previous visits to the town, Jay Millers Circus has set up at Milestones Museum.
Unfortunately, this is unavailable due to remedial work this year, but Basingstoke Town Football Club has stepped in to save the day.
John Gaston, the club’s commercial manager, said “We are a family-friendly club and when we heard that Jay Millers Circus was going to miss out on the town this year, we offered them the use of our car park.
“We are extremely pleased to be able to help in this matter and are looking forward to the visit.”
Dave Partridge, director of communications, added that the car park will still be able to accommodate cars for visitors as the circus visit is taking place before the start of the new season.
Jay Millers Circus is coming to Basingstoke from July 2 to 12 and tickets are on sale from the booking office, on 07976 655180, or can be bought on site when they are in town.
A competition to win tickets to the circus is available at basingstoketown.net and more information can be found at jaymillerscircus.co.uk.
