TWO Basingstoke mums are preparing to talk in front of an audience about breasts, to raise money for a charity which supports women with breastfeeding.

Lindsey Lawman and Stacy Hart will take to the stage at the Tea Bar for Juglife - a light-hearted look at the trials and tribulations of boobs.

Originating from interviews with more than 30 women aged from 20 to 70, the evening of monologues on mammaries will cover tales of loving them, hating them, gaining them, and everything in between.

Guests will also enjoy a spot of booby bingo as Lindsey and Stacy ask the question: "If they aren't your boobs, why are they your business?"

Lindsey, a trained actress and mum of two, said: "The interviews have taken us all over the country. We have spoken to women who have breastfed toddlers, people who have lost their breasts through breast cancer, people who have made money from their boobs. It's been amazing how generous people have been with their time and stories. It's quite a personal thing to talk about."

Lindsey said her motivation to put together Juglife is to reclaim the conversation about breasts, explaining: "The stories you hear in the media about breasts are often negative, such as someone being ejected from somewhere because they have been breastfeeding and it perpetuates this feeling that you can't breastfeed in public.

"The women we have spoken to have a sense of humour and are really candid. We want it to be fun because at the end of the day, they are just part of our bodies."

Those attending the event on Wednesday, 20 June can also enjoy a breast themed cocktail and a raffle.

A percentage of the evening's proceeds will benefit the Brookvale breastfeeding counselling drop-in service (B.A.B.I.E.S - Babies and Breastfeeding; Information, Encouragement, Support.)
