THE Importance of Being Earnest may be one of Oscar Wilde’s most cherished work, but it is set to have a bit of a makeover.

Split Second Productions will bring the hilarious, two-man re-imagining of the classic tale to Odiham on April 29.

Already one of our nation’s funniest plays, the Split Second Productions team is putting its unique mark with their “ingenious” re-telling of the story where two actors will play every single character.

Rapid quick-changes, tap dancing, fabulous frocks and enough tea to sink a ship, audiences are in for a wildly waggish time.

The story follows Jack Worthing and Algernon Moncrieff who are both pretending to be people they aren’t, from here hilarity ensues.

As part of a nationwide tour, the production of The Importance of Being Earnest will stop off at the Cross Barn on Sunday, 29 April.
