BEST-selling author, photographer and TV presenter Levison Wood is bringing his one-man show to The Anvil on Sunday, 25 February.

Sharing his experiences as a modern day explorer, Levison will delight with tales of his epic adventures, from being chased by crocodiles and hippos in Africa, shot at by gunmen, falling off a mountain, being arrested more times than he can remember and meeting such illustrious characters as the Dalai Lama and George Clooney along the way.

The show includes behind the scenes moments from his journeys walking the length of the Nile, the Himalayas and the Americas, as well as the people and places that inspired him as a younger man to follow this life of adventure.

The Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment returns to The Anvil on Wednesday, 28 February.

The first half of the concert showcases some of the music Mozart first performed in Prague and including his great opera about power, La Clemenza di Tito.

After the interval, two of Haydn’s works are performed; his dramatic Scena di Berenice is a striking piece that shows the title character lamenting her lost lover, and his Symphony no 103 is one of his very best, composed in London during his second visit to this country.

Mezzo-soprano Stephanie d’Oustrac, who has enjoyed great success at Glyndebourne and the Proms, joins the OAE and Ádám Fischer, one of the today’s leading interpreters of Haydn’s music.

Rumpus Theatre Company presents Ray Cooney’s hilarious comedy Caught in the Net at The Haymarket from Wednesday, 28 February to Saturday, 3 March.

John Smith is an ordinary taxi driver - ordinary, that is, except for the fact he has two wives, two homes and a very tight schedule.

In this glorious comic romp of a sequel to Run For Your Wife, John and long-suffering lodger Stanley Gardner are desperate to keep John’s children, half-brother Gavin and half-sister Vicki, apart after they’ve met on the internet. Confusion and panic befall John while wives Mary and Barbara remain oblivious of the other - until they all come face-to-face.

The comedy comes thick and fast, and the pace is at break neck speed, with mistaken identities and double entendres.

Caught in the Net stars John Lyons, best known as DS George Toolan in the long-running detective drama A Touch of Frost.
