TICKETS for this year’s Henley Literary Festival will go on sale to the general public on July 21.

A trio of internationally bestselling novelists have been added to 2015’s events - Prime Suspect writer Lynda La Plante, the award-winning Louis de Bernieres and Sex & The City creator Candace Bushnell - and each author is making their Henley debut.

They will be joined by leading figures from entertainment, religion and sport, as well as local authors, including Sue Perkins, singer-songwriter Dean Friedman, Australian Rugby World Cup winner Michael Lynagh, David 'Bumble' Lloyd and fellow pundit Simon Hughes, Archbishop of York John Sentamu, former Chief Rabbi Jonathan Sacks and Cardinal Cormac Murphy O'Connor.

Local authors featured include Henley-based Azi Ahmed with Worlds Apart: A Muslim Girl With The SAS and photographer Jim Donahue with Portrait of Henley.

Previously announced authors include Max Hastings, Bonnie Greer, Ben Fogle, Ella Woodward, Gyles Brandreth, Deborah Moggach and Ranulph Fiennes.

Fifty children’s events are scheduled, with guests including Lauren Child and Beast Q.

The festival takes place from September 28 - October 4.
