THERE is something for all ages at Basingstoke Festival's Family Sunday, June 28.

Come to the Top of the Town area to see:

Kaveh Rahnama, well known to Proteus’ circus audiences, has been commissioned to create a new piece called Memory Man. Using a huge frame and a pile of his belongings, this will be a jaw dropping feat of acrobatics.

For those who want to get involved, Juggling Jake's circus workshop will be on hand to teach the skills required to be a circus superstar.

Acrojou with Frantic: This critically acclaimed show toured Europe’s best street theatre festivals in 2014. A simple and beautiful love story, told using acrobatic skills inside a drum wheel, this is guaranteed to set the imagination alight and move all who see it.

Budding artists will be able to join local artist Sandy Kendall in a street chalking group project outside the United Reformed Church, while street artists will be hosting graffiti art workshops throughout the day.

The Wire Girls will also be offering bird sculpture craft workshops and there will be a chance to make a dinosaur hat with the Hampshire Cultural Trust team outside the Willis Museum.

Children’s stories based on traditional tales will be told outside The Tea Bar by Scratchbuilt Productions and you may even get a chance to make up a story or two as well.

Junk percussion workshops will take place at the bottom of Church Street, courtesy of Drum Runners, co-ordinators of the Basingstoke Live forum.

Also watch out for the walkabout act Molly Orange and follow them as they walk , run, jump over and perform acrobatics on their giant bobbin. Watch out, The Borrowers are on the loose!

Local society BATS Next Gen will be showcasing Songs from the Shows’ song highlights from their repertoire of musical theatre, both past and present.

Finally, catch History Bombs, a highly entertaining theatrical romp through the history of aviation followed by the history of World War 1.

History Bombs bring history to life through entertaining narrative and rap with slick visuals and scene changes, all presented in a record seven minutes flat!
