JOIN the Easter Eggstravaganza at Marwell!

A Wild Egg Hunt will take place from April 3 – 6.

Embark on this hunt over the Easter weekend and collect your very own chocolate egg to take home.

Wander around the stunning landscape of Marwell Zoo spotting eggs from different species. Don’t forget to show the Easter Bunny your trail map for a chocolate egg!

Listen to fascinating talks and watch animal feeds throughout the day, visit the zoo’s face painters for a really wild transformation and take a break at the picnic areas and playgrounds.

Marwell is celebrating the arrival of a litter of meerkat pups. The four little pups are settling into the family well and have been delighting keepers and guests with their playful antics.

Basingstoke Gazette:

The zoo has also seen the arrival of a new male Fossa. Varus has moved to the zoo as part of the European Endangered breeding species Programme (EEP) and will eventually be mixed with Marwell’s female Fossa, Fiana.

Make time on your next visit to see the wonderful new arrivals this Easter half term.

Marwell has also revealed plans for a colourful trail of zebra sculptures stampeding through Southampton city centre in summer 2016.

Marwell’s Zany Zebras will be an extraordinary free family-friendly event that will brighten up the streets, enliven the parks, add vibrancy to the high street and most importantly... add smiles to hundreds of thousands of visitors and residents.

Businesses and schools alike can get involved by downloading the packs and sponsoring their very own Marwell’s Zany Zebra.

Make sure to stop and take a #zelfie with Gilbert, Marwell’s very own sculpture this Easter half term.

Follow the news and see which businesses and schools have already got involved online at zanyzebras.org.uk.
