ENTRIES are welcomed for the annual Design a Kite competition, which is affiliated to the Basingstoke Kite Festival.
The 23rd Kite Festival will take place on June 6-7 at Down Grange Sports Complex.
This year’s theme is Inventions. The competition is open to everyone in Key Stages1, 2 and 3, and will be judged by age group, be it schools, clubs or individuals.
The winners will have their prizes presented to them by the Mayor of Basingstoke and Deane at the festival on Sunday, June 7 at approximately 3pm.
To enter, send your design – strictly no larger than A4 – to Mr A Cosgrove, 18 Loggon Road, Basingstoke, Hants, RG21 3PH.
Include your name, address, post code, telephone number and your key stage.
All entries for the competition must be received by Saturday, May 9.
The winners will be notified by May 16 and no correspondence will be entered into. The judges’ decision is final.
