ARE you fascinated by Astronomy?

Basingstoke Discovery Centre has two forthcoming events which will get you looking to the stars.

Astronomy for Kids on Saturday, March 14 at 1.30pm, sees members of Basingstoke Astronomy Society explaining what the moon is made of, how big the Solar System is and what an eclipse is.

Join them as they explain the answer to these fascinating questions, using a variety of models, computer simulations and a fly-through of the Solar System.

This event is for ages five and over and their families and is free to attend.

The Basingstoke Astronomy Society will return to the Discovery Centre on Wednesday, March 18 at 6pm for Stargazing Live.

After the presentation, examine a working mechanical orrery to demonstrate the motions of the planets, investigate a collection of moon and Mars rocks, and discover how a Tellurion model demonstrates how eclipses work.

Weather permitting, a number of telescopes will be available to view the moon.

Tickets for Stargazing Live are £2.
