LOCAL filmmakers Pork Chop Pictures have launched a crowdfunding campaign for their latest project.

Tea For Two is a character-driven story with elements of mystery and romance, which combines a classically British comedy style with an ambitious and modern telling.

Writer and director, Basingstoke’s Mark Brennan explained: “Our most recent short comedy SoulMatrix cost just £40, and some of that included sandwiches for lunch!

“Yet despite that ridiculous budget we were able to produce a film we're proud of. Our target of £6,000 shows we're aiming a lot higher with Tea For Two.

“While our films so far have been well-received wherever they've been shown, picking up numerous awards and fantastic reviews along the way, now is the time for us to step up to the next level and show audiences of what we're really capable when given the opportunity.”

Mark and his Pork Chop partner Carl Austin are working with Mini Productions and executive producer James Webber to bring Tea For Two to life.

Crowdfunding is a way for projects to come to life when they are funded by raising money from a large group of people.

Interested parties can easily donate online and, in exchange, the team are offering rewards such as HD online screeners of the film, DVD/Blu-Ray copies, posters, official Tea For Two mugs, IMDB credits, credits on the film, high tea with some of the team and even a portrait from artist Merlin Porter.

Every penny of funds raised will go towards direct costs of the film’s production.

Pork Chop Pictures have set themselves a target of six weeks in which to raise the £6,000.
