AN Englishman, an American and a Scotsman planned a trip to a comedy club....

And you can see them all at Basingstoke’s Laughter-House on October 2.

The club, which takes place at The Red Lion Hotel in London Street, will be playing host to comedians of varying origins.

Headline act Pierre Hollins has been a favourite on the comedy circuit for many years, headlining at clubs throughout the UK, Europe, Middle East and Asia.

In his very early days, he worked as a support act to Lenny Henry and Rory Bremner, toured with the Flying Pickets and washed dishes in the House of Commons - but now he's recognised word wide as a great headline act.

Complete with guitar and a relaxed conversational style, he leaves audiences wanting more. Pierre is vastly experienced, having done radio work and been the warm-up man for several well known shows.

Opening act Russell Hicks was named as “One of the top Six Comics to Watch’ by LA’s Stand Up Talk Magazine and he is widely recognised as one most exciting comedians to come out of America.

Basingstoke Gazette:

He's known for never doing the same show twice, improvising throughout a stream of consciousness delivery.

Scotsman Paul Pirie has seen his career encompass TV, film and radio, and he’s now one of the biggest Scottish acts on the UK comedy circuit.

Basingstoke Gazette:

This unique and vibrant comedian appears regularly at Komedia and the Comedy Café.

The evening will be compered by David Ward. He is a great comedian in his own right and is very much in demand.

David has performed at the Comedy Store, Jongleurs, and has compered heats for Channel 4's So You Think You're Funny.

Tickets for the evening, priced £14, are available from The Red Lion reception or online at laughter-house.co.uk.
