THE Strictly Come Dancing team would like to hear about Basingstoke’s heroes or heroines for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

For the first time, Strictly Come Dancing is opening its dance floor, inspiring local unsung heroes to go on an incredible journey.

They would like locals to nominate the real people who genuinely change many other people's lives - and of course, it is essential that they are Strictly super fans. The show is going to be a complete surprise to these individuals, so it is very important that they have no idea they are being nominated.

It should be an amazing chance to reward some amazing people, with an unforgettable experience that will be broadcast to the nation at a primetime slot on BBC One.

To access the nomination form, email nominate at nominate@bbc.co.uk.

The show, which will form part of next year’s Red Nose Day campaign and will raise money for Comic Relief, will play on BBC One in the lead up to the night of TV in March 2015.

The heroes will be accompanied on their incredible Strictly journey by a professional dancer from the Strictly troupe which, after only four weeks of training will culminate in a performance to the nation in the Strictly ballroom, presented by Tess and Claudia and judged by the Strictly judges.
