TELEVISION'S ‘Queen of Mean’, a Hollywood director and the journalist who exposed the phone-hacking scandal are among the final names added to this month’s Henley Literary Festival.

Anne Robinson, best known for presenting The Weakest Link and Watchdog, will chair a new event on the festival’s opening day of Monday September 29 looking at phone hacking, prime ministers and Rupert Murdoch.

Her guests will be award-winning Guardian journalist Nick Davies and former Gordon Brown spin doctor Damian McBride.

Bafta-winning filmmaker Paul Greengrass, whose credits include Captain Philips and Bourne, will host the festival’s Q&A with Baroness Doreen Lawrence, having made the TV film The Murder of Stephen Lawrence.

BBC Radio Berkshire DJ Mike Read will interview Nicholas Parsons about Just A Minute on Saturday October 4, before speaking about his own autobiography with Sue Cook later that day.

Cook will also chair an event looking at Ian Fleming’s time in Jamaica creating James Bond, with author Matthew Parker.

Newsround presenter Leah Gooding will be asking the questions on the Friday lunchtime event featuring bestselling novelists Lisa Jewell, Jenny Colgan and Rowan Coleman.

Emma Freud will be quizzing Dawn O’Porter on her love of vintage fashion, while novelist Gill Hornby will be speaking to Kirsty Wark.

Other event hosts at the festival, which takes place at intimate venues across Henley from September 29 to October 5, include Lynn Faulds Wood, Lucy Cavendish, Rachel Johnson and Gary Newbon.
