JAN Jack's Laughter-House returns for the autumn season with yet another fantastic line-up including a TV star and a local comedian.
Viewers of Mock the Week, Russell Howard's Good News and Never Mind the Buzzcocks will certainly be familiar with the headline act.
Jarred Christmas has a unique style that deftly mixes gags with storytelling. He has a dynamic onstage persona and the ability to improvise and roll with anything that's thrown his way, making his comedy sizzle with originality.
Originally from New Zealand, Jarred Christmas is the winner of several comedy awards and is a regular on TV panel shows. On the comedy club circuit, he's well known for his story telling and his clever audience engagement and as well as touring under his own name, he has also supported Ross Noble and Tommy Tiernan.
Appearing with Jarred on Thursday, September 4 in the Red Lion Hotel, London Street, will be the Comedy Store's Andrew Ryan, below, who has also appeared on Russell Howard’s Good News and Comedy Central at the Comedy Store. Irishman Andrew Ryan made his comedy circuit debut in 2008 when he spontaneously entered an open mic contest.
Fast forward to 2013 and he is now one of the most exciting talents in recent years. He’s in demand as an act and an MC at the biggest comedy clubs across Ireland and the UK.
Andrew’s quintessentially Irish storytelling abilities and cheeky, friendly demeanour make him a natural observational stand up.
He has supported both Justin Moorhouse and Terry Alderton on their UK tours and performed his debut show Ryanopoly at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2012, receiving rave reviews.
This year, Andrew returned to the Edinburgh Fringe with his follow up show Life of Ryan.
In addition, Andrew has performed stand-up on BBC3’s Russell Howard’s Good News and is also a regular panellist on BBC Radio.
The line up for September 4 also includes MC Andrew Roper, and Basingstoke’s Hilary Fox.
Hilary is a local comedian and was recently on BBC Newsnight as part of their Scottish Referendum Review, singing her political parody Make Your Mind Up.
She was awarded third place and also wrote and performed her own jingle.
The broadcast was recorded in Edinburgh, while Hilary was at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe with her themed show Wrong Comedy and other guest appearances.
Laughter-House founder Jan Jack will also be performing a short set.

Doors open at 7.30pm and the show starts at 8.15pm.
