ARTISTS across the county are once again opening their doors to the public for a popular annual event.
Hampshire Open Studios, which takes place this year from August 16- 25, features a wide range of local creatives and their galleries, potteries, jewellery workshops and much more.
The huge variety of featured artists range from first time exhibitors to emerging newcomers and well known professionals.

Exhibition of portraits, landscapes and studio images, plus sculptures and slides of his 800 sq ft Mosaic Mural Angels of the Heavenly Host at St. Paul’s Church in Bow and working drawings and photographs of his 15 ft. Crucifixion Outraged Christ. Contact: 01526 770124

Yew Trees Art Studio

Yew Trees Art Studio provides the focal point for a group of highly talented local artists, whose diverse work includes painting in acrylic/water colour/pastel, ceramics, sculpture and jewellery making. Contact: 01256 80689.
Mike and Suzie Hall

Aileen Mayers
The Glass Studio, 8 Almond Close, Old Basing, Near Basingstoke, RG24 7DW

Japanese Saki-Ori and pottery by Toku and Sei Oguchi
60 Micheldever Road, Whitchurch, RG28 7JH
August 16-19
Toku Oguchi makes hand crafted pottery which keeps some traditional Japanese style yet is embraces new forms. Some porcelains and potteries will be exhibited. 'Saki-ori' (Saki meaning split and Ori meaning weaving) is a traditional Japanese technique of weaving involving splitting old silk kimonos into strips and weaving them back into a unique textile. Sei Oguchi will exhibit how to weave it. Contact: 01256 893157.
