EMMA Bridgewater, Earl Spencer, Jojo Moyes, Mark Kermode and Dame Harriet Walter among the latest names confirmed for this year’s Henley Literary Festival.

Earl Spencer turns his attention to the men who executed Charles 1 in his upcoming book Killers of the King.

Designer Emma Bridgewater will discuss her memoir while JoJo Moyes, the author of Me Before You, returns with latest bestseller The One Plus One.

Britain’s leading film critic Mark Kermode will talk about some of his favourite – and least favourite – movies, while acclaimed music writer Mark Ellen’s Rock Stars Stole My Life! covers everything from playing in a student band with Tony Blair to a calamitous press trip with Rihanna, via hosting TV coverage of Live Aid.

The BBC’s chief economics correspondent Hugh Pym will join Kwasi Kwarteng MP and entrepreneur Margaret Hefferman for a discussion of the financial crisis.

They join previously confirmed authors including Sir Ranulph Fiennes, Jenny Colgan, Paddy Ashdown, Bonnie Greer and Sir Roger Bannister, with many more still to be announced.

The festival will take place from September 29 to October 5.
