Britain’s leading film critic Mark Kermode will talk about some of his favourite – and least favourite – movies, while acclaimed music writer Mark Ellen’s Rock Stars Stole My Life! covers everything from playing in a student band with Tony Blair to a calamitous press trip with Rihanna, via hosting TV coverage of Live Aid.

They join previously confirmed authors including Sir Ranulph Fiennes, Jenny Colgan, Paddy Ashdown, Bonnie Greer and Sir Roger Bannister, with many more still to be announced.

The festival will take place from September 29 to October 5.
