LAUGHTER-House Comedy Club in Basingstoke brings another line-up to The Red Lion this month.

Headlining on Thursday, June 5, will be Chris McCausland. As the only comedian in the UK who is blind, Chris has established himself at the very top of the UK's comedy circuit with a unique and wide ranging brand of observational comedy.

He has been performing stand-up now for over ten years and as well as being a regular at the world famous Comedy Store in the heart of London's West end, he has performed all over the world and in 2011 was awarded the Cultural Diversity award for Comedy by Channel4, BBC, ITV and Sky TV.

He is also the face of the current advertisement of a well-known bank.

Opening up will be Angie McEvoy. Angie first made history by being the first female comedian to perform stand up in Russia.  Since then she has performed at all the major comedy clubs in the UK.

Basingstoke Gazette:

Also performing is Gareth Berliner, who has been performing for several years. He almost died long before ever becoming a stand up – and accordingly tells some intricately woven anecdotes and sharply crafted edgy gags.

Compere for the evening, which kicks off at 8.15pm, is popular Geordie Phil Dinsdale.

Tickets priced £14 are available from The Red Lion Hotel reception or via the We Got Tickets link online at laughter-house.co.uk.
