ALMOST 50 local dancers recently travelled to London’s Royal Albert Hall to take part in Mardi Gras’ Stars in the Round event.

The company has been organising similar events for over fifteen years, enabling children to have opportunities to perform at some of the world’s most prestigious venues.

Over 20 dance schools from around the country were involved, including students from North Hampshire Academy of Dance, which is based at QMC.

The local dancers, aged between six and 16 years, were choreographed into a five minute dance, Do Not Pass Me By.

Principal of NHAD Kelly Hopkins said: “I was very proud of all of our students. They have all worked so hard and performed fantastically on such an amazing stage.

“It was particularly nice to see how all of the age groups bonded so nicely. We were delighted to have many positive comments with regards to all of our children.”
