JANE Austen's House Museum in Chawton is to mark the 200th anniversary of the publication of Mansfield Park this week.
On Friday, staff will join with visitors to celebrate this anniversary of Mansfield Park, the first book which the world-famous Hampshire author wrote entirely at the cottage in Chawton, Alton.
The Hampshire Regency Dancers will be present for the day and readings and object handling sessions will take place at different times in the day.
The new Mansfield Park Trail will also be operational. Visitors pick up a copy of the book from a trolley as they arrive and use the marked up book to guide their journey around the house with items in the collection highlighted by passages of the book.
