TEN local artists have already experienced great success with their ‘pop up’ show All Our Own Work in Festival Place.
The inaugural exhibition features the work of 10 creatives working in a range of styles including fine art, illustration, street art, ceramics and furniture design.
The first shop is still open now, opposite The Sports Centre, next door to Moss Bros.
Kev Munday said: “We're not a traditional gallery in the sense that we don't take a commission. All of the money from sales goes directly to the artists and the spaces are run by the artists. Let's call it an evolving collective.
“We are currently working with Festival Place Shopping Centre, Basingstoke to help them to open up some of their empty shops as galleries. We'll be in each unit for six weeks at a time before moving on to the next space.”
