A FORMER resident of the Basingstoke has mentioned his hometown in his new book.
Edward Higgins’ detective mystery Conversations with Spirits is set in 1917 amongst the murky world of First World War spiritualism.
Spiritualist crusader and celebrated author Sir Arthur Conan Doyle arrives at the door of a London club and requests Trelawney Hart’s help in investigating a man he believes to be a psychic medium of unparalleled gifts.
Edward, who grew up on Vyne Road and attended Bishop Challoner School and Queen Mary's College, has been published via online publishing company Unbound.
The latter ran a competition with Jottify.com, where Edward had been posting chapters of his book as he finished them, to find new talent.
