EMBARK on a Victorian journey of discovery at the LEGO Lost World Zoo.

This new themed exhibition will take place around Hampshire County Council’s Milestones living history museum in Basingstoke Leisure Park from February 26 until April 27.

LEGO artists from British company Bright Bricks were inspired by the collections of natural history specimens and worked closely with Hampshire County Council’s Keeper of Natural History to build some exciting new LEGO models of extinct animals.

Species that historically roamed Hampshire are also represented, including the Woolly Mammoth. Some of the original specimens that inspired the designs can be seen alongside the LEGO models.

Get up close to these extinct creatures as the world faces up to the ongoing challenge of extinction, climate change and biodiversity.

Come face to face with a LEGO Sabre-toothed Tiger, find the flock of LEGO Dodos, and discover the giant Dragonflies and Butterflies, pose for photos with the LEGO Neanderthal man or Moa Bird and enjoy the giant interactive play DUPLO® Archelon Turtle.

Throughout March, you can watch a huge 2.5m tall Woolly Mammoth being built live from LEGO bricks on the indoor museum showground by a certified LEGO builder. This creation will then be displayed throughout the Easter holidays until April 27.

In addition, an array of themed family activities will take place, ranging from the chance to dress up as an explorer, complete the spotter trail, make a LEGO bug, and enjoy the LEGO play tables. You can even customise your own Minifigure for just £2.50.

Milestones is open Tuesday-Friday and bank holidays from 10am to 4.45pm and weekends from 11am with last admission at 3.45pm.
